Last year, I participated in a March Madness-style Writer's Tournament. (For the record, I finished 2nd, losing in the championship "game" by a 13-11 vote.)
For fun, I've posted a couple of the entries here. (Blood Brothers, posted elsewhere on this site, was originally a second round entry - constricted to 8 pages.)
The third round challenge was to write 3 one-page shorts over one weekend, each in a different genre. Initially, my thought was to base each off a different nursery rhyme. I eventually decided to ditch that idea as an official entry, but here are the three shorts originally written to meet that challenge:
(I've also included a 2-page version of IRON EGG: ORIGINS. I wrote that one just for myself.)
If you participated in the contest, you'll notice IRON EGG has been slightly re-written, post-contest.
